Dean Mailheau has been woodturning for 20 years and a member of the Honolulu Woodturners Club since 2003. Born and raised in southern California, Dean moved to Oahu in 1972 after serving in the Navy with his home port in Pearl Harbor.
Inspired by Hawaiian and traditional bowls, lidded bowls, and vases of all sizes, Dean’s work enhances the natural patterns and grains of beautiful woods like Koa, Kamani, Norfolk Pine, and Milo.
